Here on Mull we are seriously considering using what3words as our location finder. I have put a what3words address on all of the Geocching sites as a means for you to give it a go. I am interested to find out your opinions?  tobermory@mull.com

what3words is a really simple way to talk about location. They have divided the world into a grid of 3m x 3m squares and assigned each one a unique 3 word address. It means anyone can accurately find any location and share it more quickly, easily and with less ambiguity than any other system.

The service can be used via the free mobile app or online map. It can also be built into any other app, platform or website, with just a few lines of code.   Check it out here

As with all GPS systems, the satellite positions and strength may well mean that the actual positions vary. I have made the three word address match identically the co ordinates listed by the cache owner.
